Xbox Series X buying tips and resources
Besides updating retailer websites, there are other online channels where you can check when a unit can become available. The biggest part of knowing where to find Xbox Series X and S during Black Friday is knowing how and where to get the information first.
On Twitter, we suggest you follow @ Wario64. The handle is known to update users on the latest deals and replenish faster than anyone on the platform.
Shopping forums
Slickdeals, the online offer repository, has a forum thread dedicated to ordering an Xbox Series X through Microsoft. The feed is constantly updated, so skip to the last page and click Refresh for the latest information on unit availability.
PopFindr
PopFindr is a site that checks local retail inventory based on your zip code. For example, you can check local Target stores in your area to see if Xbox Series Xs are available. Note that just because it’s in stock, it may be out of stock by the time you get to the store.
It’s also not a bad idea to create an account on Slickdeals and set a deal alert for “Xbox Series X”. You will receive an email alert when a new discussion thread is created on the replenished stock. But we’ve found that sometimes Slickdeals doesn’t send email to users fast enough. So it would be better to type “Xbox Series X” in the search bar and sort by new. Be prepared to check in several times a day.
CheapAssGamer is a long-standing video game deals website that also has a discussion thread devoted to Xbox Series X. At the time of writing, the discussion thread is over 63 pages long with users discussing the location of the units.
For example, user Titan X noted that the computer manufacturer Lenovo reportedly has Xbox Series X units in stock during Black Friday. Seriously, who would ever think of checking out Lenovo.com for Xbox?
Facebook and Reddit
Facebook can also be a good source of information. There are several Xbox Series X fan groups that keep users up to date with the latest restockings. Do not hesitate to join a few of these groups.
And be sure to subscribe to Xbox Series X subreddit. Of course, most of the page is devoted to threads and memes, but if a user notices a replenishment, they’ll let the community know. For example, a user found Xbox Series X units in stock at their local Walmart, with others also discussing similar findings. Again, it looks like some Walmart stores may keep units for sale on Cyber Monday.
Wholesale retailers
Subscription wholesalers like Costco, Sam’s Club, and BJ’s Wholesale Club are another group of retailers to watch out for. Because it takes a paid account to access these wholesalers, there are often fewer people hopping on top of each other to find a unit. If you don’t have a subscription to any of these retailers, ask a few friends or family.
Unfortunately, wholesalers tend to bundle new consoles with additional games or accessories. So you will probably have to pay more than the standard $ 500.
Check in at important times
In general, retailers like to make inventory available at certain times. The time when new Xbox Series X stock is most likely to be available is at midnight ET on certain days. Check out all the retailers and you might get lucky.
Other retailers prefer times like 7 a.m. ET when customers wake up, while others will aim for noon to give everyone the best chance of finding a new Xbox Series X console.
If the units are out of stock online, it may be worth going to a physical location. You must bring your membership card or accompany someone who is a member. And be sure to wear a face mask (on your nose), otherwise the vendors will ask you to leave. If none are available in stores, you can at least go out with a $ 5 roast chicken.
If you are wondering why everyone is going crazy about the Xbox Series X, it’s because it’s a high-performance video game system that helps bring gamers into the next generation. We commended it for its blazing performance and load times in our Xbox Series X review. We were also impressed with Microsoft’s cheaper console in our Xbox Series S review, although you’ll have to live with tradeoffs like 1080p gaming.
