The countdown is well underway for the release of Avengers: End of Game. The last time we saw the Avengers, things were not going well.
The film has left fans wondering, "Is this the last time we see the Avengers together?" Thanks to Thanos, the fate of many characters has been left unresolved.
Who is Thanos?
Thanos is the mean villain in the world of Avengers. He comes from Titan, a moon of Saturn and he has a serious problem to solve. Thanos was horribly disfigured, leaving him angry and vengeful. This led him to go hunting in power.
Thanos is the foster father of Gamora. Thanos destroyed his original planet, killing both his parents. He then took her under his wing to train her as an assassin. But Gamora turned to him to keep the power out of his hands.
In Avengers: war in the infiniteThanos was able to get his hands on all the stones of the infinite, giving him the ultimate power. Fans have been left to watch many of their favorite Avengers disappear into a pile of dust. Will this be canceled with the release of Avengers: End of the game? The fans will have to wait and see.
Thanos is played by actor Josh Brolin
It's hard to recognize in all these aspects, but Thanos is played by veteran actor Josh Brolin. Brolin revealed that more than one MCU player needed to convince to take on the role of the evil villain.
Brolin told Seth Meyers in 2018 that he asked Mark Ruffalo (aka The Hulk), his fellow Marvel compatriot, what he thought of taking the role. Brolin said that Ruffalo had told him, "You'll feel more ridiculous than ever." He explained everything about the costume that made the party uncomfortable. But he then assured the actor: "When you see it, you will end up having the mind boil over."
Brolin later confessed that it was also the work of Dr. Strange himself that had helped convince him to take the role. He told Entertainment Weekly Radio that a video of Benedict Cumberbatch filming The Hobbit on YouTube had inspired him: "He was in this [motion capture]and he was in that big warehouse, and he crawls like a snake, pulling his tongue to make this incredible performance. I saw it and it felt like it was the bar. This is not like bulls *** t. It's something that you can really … you have to show some conviction, embarrassment and that sort of thing. And I decided, yes.
Brolin had a successful career long before entering the Marvel Universe
Before playing in the Avengers franchise, Brolin had a long acting career. The actor debuted as a brand in the cult classic The Goonies. After The Goonies, Brolin appeared in 21 rue Jump, Private detective, and Young riders. In the early 90s, Brolin has always played in blockbuster movies.
Thanos was his first character in the Marvel universe, but it was not the last. In 2018, Brolin appeared as a cable in Deadpool 2. He is ready to take back the character in the next X-Force. He is also ready to appear in dune and an untitled television series.
He has pretty famous parents
If you think you've heard the name Brolin before, you're right. Josh Brolin has very famous parents. Brolin's father is actor James Brolin, who currently plays the role of John in the comedy CBS Life in pieces. Her mother, Jane Cameron Agee was also an actress. Unfortunately, she passed away in 1995. Brolin's mother-in-law is none other than the legendary Barbra Streisand.
Avengers: End of the game will be in theaters on April 26th.
