Two deer were found poached in an area north of Emmett.

Idaho Fish and Game said that an owner was preparing for work around 3:30 am Monday, when he noticed that a vehicle was parked on the road near his property. After turning on some lights in the house, the vehicle spun. Two dead loved ones were found near the road.

"Deer herds in this area are still recovering from winter 2017," said Brian Marek, Fish and Game Conservation Officer. "Lighting the deer during the closed season is even more detrimental to recovery."

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call 208-465-8465.
