Whoopi Goldberg, longtime co-host of "The View", has not been in his usual chair since February 6th.

The star of the morning show has provided an update of her health via a pre-recorded video of the Friday morning episode.

In the video taken at her home, Goldberg said that she had been diagnosed with pneumonia in both lungs and that she was septic.

"Hey, yes, it's me. I am here, "said the 63-year-old.

"I get up and move – not as fast as I would like, but it's okay. I'm not dead, "she explained.

"Yes, I'm about to leave the earth. Good news, I did not do it. "

"Thank you for all your wishes, all the wonderful things that people have said. Even people who are not big fans tell me well about me, "she continued.

"Ladies, I'm looking forward to seeing everything," added the winner of the EGOT. (EGOT represents the Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony awards.)

"It's interesting and I'll tell you about it when we're all at the table. To everyone, see you soon.

Goldberg's absence was first addressed on the show at the end of February, when her co-host, Joy Behar, said she was cured of pneumonia.

"I saw her last night and she's still very funny, and we laughed a lot. She's going, she's healing, "said Behar.

Some people thought that Goldberg was away because she was secretly preparing to host the Oscars on February 24th.

But obviously, the awards ceremony came and went without anyone at the helm.
