The single person The candidate, Caelynn, returned home last night from hometowns. If you had asked Caelynn after her date in her hometown where she was with Colton, she would probably have told you that they were really good. They had recently said that they were falling in love and they seemed to be having a good time riding a cart, eating ice cream and visiting their family.
If you asked Colton, however, where he thought Caelynn and he were after his hometown rendezvous, he probably would not have been that secure. From the beginning of the appointment, he seemed less enthusiastic than usual with Caelynn. The two men had historically a pretty good connection but it was just not there at that time. At the end of the episode, she was sent home.
She will be fine. She is beautiful, intelligent, funny, charismatic – she would make a great bachelorette.
Make good use of this pageant training
As Colton saw in her home town with Caelynn, she has been competing since her youth. She is only 23 years old now, but she has the grace and maturity of someone who has been working professionally since she was little. This puts the audience at ease when the bachelorette / bachelor is in control. Caelynn would be neither nervous nor clumsy, she is a professional.
She is not afraid of being personal
During his appointment with Colton, Caelynn spoke about his experience of sexual assault. Each candidate chooses what she is and does not want to share the show. Caelynn made the extremely difficult choice of talking about her trauma on national television because it was important to her. She thought it was an important story to share, a story that every survivor of sexual assault watching at home needed to hear, and perhaps even more important to every young man looking at The single person who is about to be or is currently in college to hear.
When the episode was aired, she posted on her Instagram account a photo featuring statistics on sexual assault. With her new Bachelor's degree, she uses her platform to educate her on a subject that deeply fascinates her.
As a single person, she would not be afraid to ask powerful questions and she would certainly not tolerate less than progressive men in rape culture.
She is ready for marriage
Before being released at the birthplace rosary ceremony, Caelynn told her family that she was absolutely sure of being ready for the wedding. She told Colton after letting her go she imagined her; she was all-in. So we know she's ready to get married – it has to be with the right person.
