Windows 11 is now available in beta

Microsoft is making full progress on Windows 11. One month after its first “dev” version, Windows 11 is now available in beta from July 29, 2021. If you want to try Windows 11 but are intimidated by the channel’s warnings development, maybe now is the time.

This beta version is still unstable software. Windows 11 will not be stable until its official release, which is slated for late 2021. However, beta versions will receive fewer updates than “dev” versions. There are many bugs that need to be fixed and fixed in the “dev” channel before releases reach the beta channel.

The first beta is identical to version 22000.100 of Windows 11 Insider Preview, which people running development builds of Windows 11 have been using for a week.

We have run this version on multiple machines and it is quite stable. In fact, we haven’t seen a single blue screen since upgrading multiple PCs to Windows 11. It’s overall solid, although we occasionally encountered small interface bugs with the new Windows 11 interface.

We do not recommend upgrading your daily driver or critical PC to Windows 11 at this time. However, if you want to check out what’s new and have a spare PC, you can try installing the beta versions of Windows 11. You can get it from the Windows Insider program screen in the Windows 10 Settings app.

The only problem with installing Windows 11 on a spare PC is that Windows 11 has strict hardware requirements. Even if you have an old PC lying around, Windows 11 may not support its hardware if it is a few years old.
