Hissrich returned to novels for inspiration from the series, which stars Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia – the titular witcher. During today’s WitcherCon event hosted by Netflix and CD Projekt Red to tease both the second release of the upcoming TV show and the future of the game series, The witcher The trailer for season 2 has been revealed. The trailer follows Geralt and Ciri as they travel together and offers a glimpse into what Yennefer has become. Watch the video below.

Cause it’s just being The witcher Season 2 teaser trailer, there’s a lot revealed in these footage. Some of the clips appear to be from the Season 2 premiere, “A Grain of Truth,” which is likely taken from the story of the same name by Sapkowski, since Geralt can be seen with the bandage around his leg from the wound he was wearing. ‘he received in the season 1 finale. Bonding moments can also come from the first one, as they just met. Then the trailer also teases their arrival at Kaer Morhen, Geralt’s reunion with the other witers as well as their reactions to Ciri. Additionally, although his face is not shown, Geralt’s mentor Vesemir appears to appear in the trailer, watching Geralt train and then possibly fight back to back with Geralt. There is also a teaser of Geralt’s two swords, which he wields in the game, in Ciri’s plane approaching two exposed blades. This can predict an upgrade Geralt will receive at Kaer Morhen.

Beyond Geralt and Ciri, the footage also teases what happened to Yennefer after her disappearance in the Battle of Sodden Hill, revealing that she was with Fringilla, the Nilfgaardian witch. Although this is not explicitly stated in The witcher season 2 trailer, it’s likely that Yen is Fringilla’s prisoner, given that they’re on the other side of the war. It is also unclear how Yen was captured – whether Fringilla used magic to apprehend Yennefer or whether Yen’s extensive use of magic in battle sent her elsewhere, from where she was captured by Fringilla. The answers to Yennefer’s fate and the next step for Geralt and Ciri will undoubtedly be revealed when Season 2 launches.
