The woman behind the famous "I'm trying to Jennifer" meme attracted a lot of attention on Sunday after CJ McCollum's huge performance in the seventh game.
McCollum scored an incredible 37 points and won a huge block after leading the Portland Trail Blazers to the Western Conference final with a 100-96 win in Denver in Game 7.
While McCollum's massive offensive performances unfolded, Twitter fans did not stop referring to the same "I'm trying Jennifer".
Last year, McCollum tore up the "disgusting" stars that joined the Warriors. His comment came in August in the context of the signing of DeMarcus cousins with Golden State.
One woman on Twitter, Jennifer Williams, did not like McCollum's criticism of his favorite Golden State team and upset him by "winning a playoff game and then talking." McCollum's answer, "I'm trying Jennifer," was viral.

Portland was eliminated from the playoffs in the first round two consecutive years, when Jennifer hit McCollum.
Fast forward to Sunday, McCollum had the game of his life and led his team to the conference finals, where they will face the Williams Warriors. Jennifer congratulated CJ for "trying" and acknowledged his efforts.

She even acknowledged that he had been served a humble sauce.

Someone needs CJ's biggest inspiration for the conference finals.
Can you pick me up at the WCF if the Blazers succeed?!?!

In addition to remembering Jennifer, McCollum was motivated by other factors after leaving last year. You could say this year that he was on a mission to turn things around. He just did that.
