Cadiz Women’s Golf League
The Cadiz Women’s Golf League match of the day on September 15 was “Net bottom.”
The hostesses were Ann Milleson and Tamara Dulaney. Today’s winners were Brenda Hartley, first place, and Carol Lepic, second. The low putt winners were Roberta Cireddu and a three-way tie between Brenda Hartley, Kathy Newburn and Donita Rush.
Carol Lepic, Kathy Newburn, Joanne Hardman, Brenda Hartley and Tamara Dulaney all had birdies. Joanne Hardman also had a chip-in.
Next week’s hostesses are Marilyn Kenny, Paula Hope and Janet Backel. The game of the day will be “Three clubs plus putter.”
Red Oak Ladies’ League
The women of the Red Oaks Ladies League played their final league night on September 13 at the now sold-out Red Oaks Golf Course.
They played the last nine, and the game of the day was “Cast your two worst holes. “
The winners of the game were Lori DeFallo, first place; Yuko Atwell, second; and Brenda McKloskey, third.
The skill prize winners were Laura Froehlich, long distance on the # 13 hole and Kathy Moore, closest to the pin on the # 17 hole, a hole she also birdieed.
There were three chip-ins during the round: Signa Findlay at # 11, Lori DeFallo at # 14 and Neysa McCart at # 18. Signa Findlay had the lowest putts of the night.
The women will finish the season at the Highland Springs Golf Course in Wellsburg. The departure will now be at 4:30 p.m. due to the sunsets earlier this time of year. Participants are reminded to call the clubhouse on game day to register.
Town and countryside
Town and Country Golf played the first round of the club championship on September 9. The daily gross winners were: One Robbery, Veronica Foldi; flight B, Lattee Chinakarn; and vol C, Margie Serafini.
The net winners were: One Flight, Kathy Antinone; flight B, Rose Kaczmarek; and vol C, Shirley Guida. The low putts were Patty Saccoccia. Signa Findlay birdied at hole 1.
The other winners were:
Long training hole # 2: Vol B, Chinakarn and Vol C, Serafini.
Long Training Hole # 5: One Flight, Foldi; flight B, Dora Elizaga; and vol C, Debbie Hendricks.
As close as possible to pinhole 8: flight B, Chinakarn and flight C, Hendricks.
