There are big plans for Gable Steveson even though he only recently signed with WWE.

Dave meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the gold medalist was scheduled to make his WrestleMania debut.

Meltzer wrote: “We knew the company wanted to feature Steveson year round on the show before the idea was to have him start as a regular after varsity wrestling season ended in March, with the idea to debut at WrestleMania. “

Steveson was in the WWE Draft and his draft announcement was presented the same way a college football athlete being drafted into the NFL. Steveson has been shown reacting at home with his parents encouraging him. For some reason, Steveson was one of the last picks in the draft behind several wrestlers who feature in the middle card.

WWE went out of their way to welcome Steveson. He will continue amateur wrestling full time while attending college and training for the NCAA tournament. WWE is setting up a training facility for him near his home and he will occasionally train in Orlando at the Performance Center.
