WWE Raw Results, Recap, Notes: Shocking Back, Reign News, Rousey's Memorable Statement

[ad_1]

The Road to WrestleMania is traditionally littered with special moments throughout the trip, and Monday Night Raw, in Atlanta, was definitely one of the best records. The construction of this show for weeks was centered on the 70th anniversary celebrations of "The Nature Boy", Ric Flair, which ended up giving us one of the first twists of the year.

But last weekend, Atlanta Raw received a boost of notoriety by announcing that Roman Reigns would return to his garden to inform us of his condition while he was fighting leukemia for the second time in his life. To say that Reigns' return to Raw this week started on a positive note would be a huge understatement.

Let's take a look at everything that happened Monday night with what will certainly be a Raw that will be shown on the flagship movie rolls for years to come.

The big dog is back

Reigns opened Raw and announced that his cancer was in remission and he returned to the WWE. Check out the related story for more details and highlights of this announcement.

Behind the scenes, Charly Caruso recounted that Baron Corbin had shared his comments when he was chief executive of Raw and that we should all accept the fact that Reigns was dealing with leukemia and move on . He added that his quotes had been taken out of context because he was under stress that even Reigns could not understand. He just hopes their paths do not intersect now that he's back.

With Caruso behind the scenes later, Seth Rollins said tonight was a fantastic night. He once again promised that he would come out of WrestleMania as a universal champion. But tonight he's talking about the announcement of the remission of his best friend Reigns, and he's going to join him in celebrating him with cold drinks. It would not be the last time we would see Rollins or Reign for the night.

Drew McIntyre def. Dean Ambrose via pinfall (No Disqualification): Elias interfered with a guitar hit at Ambrose, helping McIntyre win. Subsequently, Corbin went into the ring where he, Elias, Bobby Lashley and McIntyre defeated Ambrose. First, the musical success of Rollins followed by that of Reigns. Reigns and Rollins come into play, Reigns throwing punches at Superman and ending the rescue of Ambrose with the spear at a huge ovation. At the top of the ramp, Reigns and Rollins stared at Ambrose in recovery, teasing a possible meeting ahead before Ambrose left the company in April.

In simple terms, this will not only be one of the best times of the year, but also the illustrious story of WWE. Before her shocking announcement in October 2018, Reigns was the most polarizing figure in professional wrestling. Now he is the most beloved artist of the game. People have greatly underestimated what man Joseph Anoa's had presented at the table as the latest superstar in the industry , and you can be sure that it will not be the case. It remains to be seen what the future holds for us, but it is not important tonight. What really matters is that our "Big Dog" is back, and we are all better off. Grade: A +

Batista ruins the Ric Flair celebration

Throughout the evening before the celebration, tweets of celebrities and celebrities wishing a happy birthday to the "Nature Boy" were broadcast. Video messages were also sent by Snoop Dogg, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and Maria Menounos. Flair was shown arriving in a limousine with his wife, Wendy.

Triple H and Stephanie mcMahon made their way through the ring to the superstars on the stage. They then presented the legends, which included (in order): Shawn Michaels, Ricky Steamboat, Kurt Angle and Sting. The next was the birthday man himself … except that he was not there.

Flair never went down the ramp to celebrate his 70th birthday, and the camera then headed to the backstage where we saw a Batista return to train a cameraman with him. He entered the fitting room of his mentor, dragged him outside and laid him on the floor. He then looked into the camera and asked Severely Triple H, "Do I have your attention now?" at the end of the show, Triple H headed back to help Flair.

The WrestleMania star game that we all expected to take place will come to fruition. Batista has long pleaded publicly for a final match with Mania, Triple H, to put an end to his wrestling career, and ultimately, he's just getting it. And what better, we get the Batista heel, which will certainly make this Road to WrestleMania even more fun. Grade: A-

Ronda Rousey gives an ultimatum

Ronda Rousey & Natalya against Riott Squad ended in draw: Just as the Raw female champion, Rousey, was about to hit Sarah Logan, Becky Lynch made her way through the crowd with the crutch, nailing Natalya before Rousey came to her house. meet. Triple H had warned the hanging Lynch that if she pulled something like that again, she would be arrested. That promise was kept, while the cops slapped Lynch in handcuffs as WWE officials separated her and Rousey put her in the fray and escorted her to the ramp while she was on her way. she proclaimed: "I need those hands to defend the female title."

Back from publicity, Rousey helped Natalya climb the ramp before turning around and returning to the ring. The female Raw Champion asked Vince McMahon to come forward so that Lynch's affair could be settled once and for all, but instead she had Stephanie McMahon. Rousey called on the McMahon not only to drop all charges, but also to reinstate Lynch in order to participate in WrestleMania's main event. McMahon reminded Rousey that she was his boss and that no one was bigger than the WWE. Rousey said she could not endorse the title that McMahon was breaking and that if Vince is the one making all the tough decisions, it's time for him to take the right one. Rousey put the belt down at McMahon's feet and left the ring. Behind the scenes, McMahon met Triple H while she was holding the title in confusion.

Despite the time that has elapsed between the beginning of this scenario and WrestleMania, WWE has done a pretty solid job of keeping it intriguing with different layers. Rousey's promo has been one of the best shots in all of this, and she has gone to great lengths to make sure her opponent Lynch is in the match is another of those interesting layers. Congratulations to WWE for continually piquing our interest with one of the biggest storylines in the company's history, given where the trip ends. Grade: B +
