Xbox Series X in stock before Black Friday? Check replenishment availability on Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart and more

[ad_1]

Attention Xbox fans: the $ 500 Xbox Series X (with the $ 300 Xbox Series S, its less powerful little brother) was officially released on Tuesday, November 10. Gamers around the world can now – in theory – buy the new console that Microsoft touts as having “four times the processing power of Xbox One.” “It also delivers backward compatibility with the vast majority of Xbox One games (anything other than a Kinect title), and even some original Xbox 360 and Xbox titles. The problem? Like anyone who’s tried to get a new Xbox – or a new one PS5 – knows, they’re almost impossible to find since pre-orders started in September.

Unlike Sony, which led a online launch only for the PS5, Microsoft has stocked shelves online and in-store. But as you scour the web and brick-and-mortar stores for inventory, change your expectations: They can’t be found, and things don’t look like they’re getting any better: Microsoft now says that Xbox inventory could be tight until April 2021.

While most retailers haven’t been very transparent about when they expect to have units to sell, Walmart has kept customers informed of the exact date of the new inventory removal. For example, we know that Walmart will have an online “availability window” for the sold out Nintendo Switch Black Friday pack Wednesday, November 25 at 4 p.m. PT (7 p.m. ET).

And that’s not all: there will be the Xbox Series X and the Xbox Series S a few hours later. According to Walmart, your next chance to buy an Xbox online will be at 6 p.m. PT (9 p.m. ET) on Nov. 25, the day before Thanksgiving. Best Buy and GameStop are also teasing Xbox availability for Black Friday week, but without specific details.

If you still want to try your luck, here is a list of the main ones retailers selling the Xbox Series X. Our advice is to seek the retail price of $ 500, and avoid expensive retail bundles (which include unnecessary controllers, accessories, and games).

Best Buy was the last retailer to return for pre-order in September, but now stands ready for your Xbox Series X purchase as inventory permits.

Amazon sells the cheaper Xbox Series X and S Series from this same product page.

Walmart is doing a solid job noting windows of availability for PS5 and Xbox on its Twitter feed. You can also visit the retailer’s Xbox landing page for the two new consoles. To be clear, Walmart says your next chance to buy an Xbox online will be at 6 p.m. PT on Nov. 25.

GameStop had boasted “Very limited number of Xbox Series X and S consoles bundles to buy” but these are currently sold out.

This is where you can buy the Xbox Series X from Newegg when the retailer has inventory.

If you want to get the latest information on Xbox Series X, there’s probably nothing better than Microsoft’s Xbox Series X home page. Here you’ll find the latest specs, announced game titles, details on the new controller, and more.
