Finding restocking for the Xbox Series X has been unpredictable since November 2020, with the console often running out of stock within minutes of launching a new inventory in all stores.
Twitter is where we started tracking the Xbox Series X restocking – as well as the equally hard-to-buy PS5 restocking. Stores like GameStop don’t give people much warning, and console drops are gone in minutes, if not seconds, these days.

The Xbox Series X restocking at GameStop on Wednesday was no different. The page launched, a few people were able to put it in their cart, while others had to refresh the page when the red button is grayed out with the message “GameStop is adding new inventory”. It’s a case of trying, trying again.
We saw the official supply of the X and S series from Microsoft’s official Xbox store on Monday and Tuesday, but it sold out in about three minutes. That tells you what kind of competition there is for these next-gen consoles.

The X series is extremely powerful and capable of gaming in 4K, while the X series is almost as powerful and costs $ 200 less. This is a good deal compared to what the resellers charge.
We’re following Xbox Series X and S restockings on Twitter just because inventory is going so fast. Both Target and Amazon are rumored to be launching a new stock of consoles this week, but so far that has not materialized.
We track over 12 US stores: Amazon, Walmart, Target, and Best Buy among them. So even if you don’t get that Xbox restock from GameStop today, there is still another store in the US that will eventually have it in stock.
