Los Angeles Angels catcher, Jonathan Lucroy, was sent to the hospital Sunday following a collision in a match against the plate with Houston Astros' Jake Marisnick.

Lucroy underwent a CT scan and was being assessed for a possible concussion as well as for a broken nose, the angels said. Despite the violent nature of the incident, the play relaunched the online debate on the rules of the game at the MLB's plaque (Marisnick was summoned for the collision).

The Saint-Louis Cardinals' longtime star, Yadier Molina, was one of the many voices that weighed in the play. do not happy to see a fellow-catcher being leveled so brutally. He expressed his anger for Marisnick and the situation as a whole in a secular message on his verified Instagram account.

"(Expletive) !!! MLB must act on this game (expletive)! (Expletive)! Pray for Lucroy! Slide slide slide (expletive) !!! (Expletive) u if you think it's good .. .) u !!!! "Molina wrote.

Molina's voice has weight on the issue of playing against the plate: he has won the Gold Glove nine times and has been a two-time World Series champion with the Cardinals. Obviously, he is tired of seeing collisions at home and admonishes the fans who liked to see playing the "old school" again.

"It certainly did not look like a clean game," said Brad Ausmus, former receiver of the Angels. "I do not know what really happened. It looked like Marisnick had stepped to the left and got in with her arm raised. The call was right. The Major League Baseball should probably take a look at it and consider a type of suspension, quite frankly.

Marisnick, for one, said that he was trying to slip head first into the inner corner and admitted that it was a "bad game" on his part.

"Above all, I hope he's fine," said Marisnick. "It was a bad piece. For me, I was running and I see him taking a step forward, as if he was going to fall back and forth, so I tried to take a step forward and slide the head first into the inner corner. And I looked at the room again and it looks …

"It just falls in front of me and once I sort of made my decision, it was too late – it was a bad game and I hope it's okay."
