Showers are like the last bastion of calm in our lives. Just think about all the things you don’t do when you’re foaming: mindlessly scrolling through a stranger’s Instagram, texting your friend who just got back together with her worst ex, getting mad at because of a passive-aggressive email from your coworker. Depending on your routine, it’s five minutes to half an hour during which you can completely relax and become zen. And of course, a shower wouldn’t be complete without the products that make up this holy time, all about you.From cleansers to shampoos, our shower products can convey a lot about ourselves, like our favorite scents, Hair color habits and the parts of our body that we choose to give a little more TLC – and inevitably, these routines can add up. It looks like lotion and doesn’t leave a circle around my tub like some other brands. “Tresemmé Keratin Smooth Shampoo: $ 5.99 Tresemmé Keratin Smooth Conditioner: $ 5.99” I use a lot of heat on my hair, and it supposedly helps break it up? They smell great, they’re gentle on sensitive skin, and you can find them just about anywhere. Gillette Venus Comfort Glide Women’s Razor: $ 7.97 “I have thick hair and sensitive skin, and this razor allows me to shave as closely as possible without irritating my skin.” “Olaplex No 4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo: $ 28 Olaplex No 5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner: $ 28 Olaplex Hair Perfector No 3: $ 28” By far some of the best products I have ever used on my curly hair. I have heat damage and since using Olaplex I have seen a tremendous improvement in the overall quality of my curls. The products smell amazing, a bit goes a long way, and they bring my curls to life! “Oribe Côte d’Azur Regenerating Shower Gel: $ 42” I used it in a very nice hotel in Vegas, fell in love with it and have To have it. I’ve bought it twice and only use it for special occasions when I want to feel super luxurious. It is definitely a product that allows you to indulge yourself. “Total: $ 140.85 Alison M. Age: 32 Location: New York, NY Industry: Communications Products: Redken Color Extend Blondage Color Depositing Purple Shampoo: $ 22.50” I dye my hair every six weeks, so I used to avoid unwanted brass. “Clairol Nice’n Easy CC + ColorSeal Conditioner: $ 12.99” It’s the iconic conditioner that comes in the box of Nice’n Easy hair dye. This is something my mom always used, and I still use it today! Gillette Venus Mini On The Go Women’s Razor: $ 19.38 “When I shave, I use this razor in the shower. I love the scent of white tea and the way the blades curl against my skin. No nicks ever! “Rodan + Fields Redefine Daily Cleansing Mask: $ 44” I like to exfoliate my face when I’m in the shower. Sometimes I leave this on for five minutes as a mask while I shave my legs. “Love Beauty and Planet Murumuru Butter & Rose Body Wash: $ 8.99” I love the scent and the fact that it leaves my skin soft and smooth. “Vagisil Scentsitive Scents® White Jasmine Daily Intimate Cleanser: $ 5.59” I use it for extra cleansing in the shower! I love that it’s hypoallergenic and doesn’t have harsh detergents. “Total: $ 113.45 Vagisil SCENTSITIVE SCENTS® WHITE JASMINE DAILY INTIMATE WASH, $, available at Vagisil: $ 3.99 Herbal Essences Cucumber & Green Tea Conditioner: $ 5.99” Honestly, I’m buying this which is reasonable – and it just smells good. I don’t use formulas that are thin or don’t lather enough. “Dove White Beauty Bar: $ 6.88 for six” I prefer bar to liquid soap. In my head, it cleans better – plus it means I can skip the step of using a loofah. “Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Facial Cleanser: $ 9.99” I use it to remove makeup in the shower. It’s purely out of laziness. “Total: $ 26.85 Abby S. Age: 26 Location: Brooklyn, NY Industry: Social Media Products: Kristin Ess One Purple Conditioner: $ 12” My curly hair is currently blonde, so to minimize brassiness and keep my curls hydrated at the same time I use it. It has a clean smell and is not messy at all! Every time I use it I feel like I am doing my hair again. “Briogeo Curl Charisma ™ Rice Amino + Avocado Moisturizing Shampoo: $ 24 Briogeo Curl Charisma ™ Rice Amino + Shea Curl Conditioner: $ 24” The avocado, shea butter, and amino acids in rice help cleanse my hair, eliminate buildup and prevent my hair from frizzing before the start of the day. A curly girl’s dream. “Garden of Life Organic Virgin Coconut Oil: $ 13.44” I’ve been using this since high school – coconut oil is super hydrating. I take a small amount and apply it in sections, starting at the ends and working up only to the mid-lengths. I leave this as I finish the rest of my routine; when i’m finished, i rinse thoroughly. Your hair will thank you. “IE Spa Indulgences Handmade Lavender Soap: $ 10” I love getting handmade soaps from small businesses. I bought this lavender scent at a flea market. Lavender helps reduce stress and keeps me calm and collected throughout my shower. I really feel like I have my own spa at home. »Total: $ 83.44 Sarah S. Age: 29 Location: New York, NY Industry: Law Products: Redken Color Extend Shampoo: $ 17.50 Redken Color Extend Conditioner: $ 17.50 Redken Color Extend Blondage Color Depositing Purple Shampoo: 22 , $ 50 “I use them to protect my color and keep it blonde as long as possible.
