According to data shared with Al Jazeera, the proportion of affected children aged zero to four fell from 0.3% to 2.2%, those aged 5 to 14 from 0.8% to 4.6% , while those aged 15 to 24 fell from 4.5 to 15 percent of the total cases analyzed.
“While we are seeing differences between regions, we are seeing a constant shift towards younger people reported among COVID-19 cases,” WHO told Al Jazeera.

Globally, the coronavirus pandemic has infected 21.8 people, according to data collected by Johns Hopkins University, more than 13.8 million have recovered.
