The Zac Brown Band will not be continuing their tour anytime soon.
Lead singer Zac Brown has tested positive for COVID-19 and has been forced to cancel several upcoming tour dates.
In a lengthy social media post, Brown, 43, shared a heartfelt message to his fans regarding his coronavirus status.
“To all of our fans,” the country singer began. “I made the very difficult decision to pause Zac Brown Band’s ‘The Comeback Tour’. Despite my precautions, I tested positive for COVID-19. “
He continued, “I am deeply disappointed that this has happened because touring is our life and performing live for our fans is the best part of our job. The bottom line is that I want to take every precaution to make it happen. the health and safety of our fans and our team first. We will resume touring as soon as I complete the quarantine mandated by the CDC and it is safe for our band and our team to do so. “
“I am grateful to our fans for understanding this decision, as well as to everyone on the front lines who cannot stay home because their work is essential,” said Brown. “I believe we can all overcome this together. As soon as we can, we’ll see you on the road again. Nothing better than the return.
In the comments section, he explained that refunds can be given for canceled shows in Clarkston, Michigan; Burgettstown, Pennsylvania; Syracuse and Saratoga Springs, New York. The concerts were originally scheduled to take place from September 30 to October 3.
