ALABINO / Moscow Region /, 29 July / TASS /. Russia leads the Safe Environment and Elbrus Ring competitions after the first day of the 2018 Army Games, said Sunday Major General Alexander Peryazev, the chief judge of the tournament.

"The first competitions of the contest Pesochnoye Range in the Yaroslval region.The leader is the Russian team (25 minutes and 40 seconds) .The Belarusian crew finished second (26 minutes and 57 seconds) , and the Chinese team finished third (29 minutes and seven seconds), "the press center said the game.

The Russian team was the first in the Elbrus ring competition. According to Peryazev, competitions in disciplines such as climbing and navigating on mountainous terrain are already over. "Russian military climbers scored 1,765 points, 47 points higher than last year, the Chinese team with 1,387 points and Kazakhstan with 1,308 points," he said. Uganda, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Azerbaijan and India completed their laps on the first day of Tank Biathlon competitions. The Chinese team finished first. It is followed by Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.

The "Safe Environment" competition involves radiological, chemical and biological reconnaissance troops. It is held at the Pesochnoye Training Center in Kostroma and in the Yaroslavl region of Central Russia. The participants are crews from Armenia, Byelorussia, Egypt, Iran, China and Russia. The last stage of the competition is the climb of the Elbrus mountain on foot with a standard weapon

The Elbrus Ring Contest involves mountain troops. It takes place in the center of climbing and survival of Terskol, in the district of Elbrus, in the North Caucasus Republic, in Kabardino-Balkaria. Participants are teams from Iran, India, Kazakhstan, China, Russia and Uzbekistan.

The 4th International Army Games take place on 24 training grounds in seven countries from July 28th to August 11th. 32 nations of the world. The program includes competitions in 28 disciplines.
