Alabama has added just over 1,400 new coronavirus cases since yesterday.
Figures from the Alabama Department of Public Health at 10:00 a.m. on Jan. 18 show the state has recorded 424,028 cases of COVID-19 since March, an increase of 1,430 from the previous day. The state added 1 death to bring the total to 6,121.
At 2,716, hospitalizations continued to slowly decline. The state hit its highest pandemic level at 3,077 in early January.
