The incident occurred in the boy. He was then taken to hospital by his mother. On the way, the mother asked for help from the police.

While one of the police was driving, the department said the other police officer had attempted to administer rescue treatments to the child. The child was declared dead at the hospital.

The toddler was not the only child to be shot on Thursday in the metropolitan area of ​​St. Louis. According to the authorities, 13-year-old Clifford Swan III was killed on Thursday night. Police arrested an 18-year-old man suspected of murder but did not reveal the suspect's name.
