The Apollo 11 landed in 1969, so it almost did not happen. The mission team encountered problems just as the Eagle Lunar module approached the surface. The story of how this situation has been restored to allow one of the greatest achievements in the history of humanity is told in the BBC's Apollo 50th Anniversary podcast series – 13 Minutes To The Moon.

The first episode of the weekly series is available for download from May 13th. The last episode will be available on July 20, anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission.
