UDOH reports more than 200,000 Utahn vaccinated in Saturday’s COVID-19 report

New cases
778 new cases were reported, for a total of 366,034.

Test
6,892 new tests were performed, for a total of 2,158,136.

Hospitalizations
242 people are currently hospitalized for COVID-19. 14,421 Utahns have been hospitalized since March 2020. The seven-day moving average of positive tests is now 779, or about 13.52% of those tested.

Deaths
Eight new deaths have been reported, for a total of 1,842. Newly reported deaths include:

  • Woman, over 85, resident of Weber County, hospitalized at time of death
  • Female over 85, resident of Salt Lake County, not hospitalized at time of death
  • Woman, aged 45 to 64, resident of Utah County, hospitalized at time of death
  • Male, aged 65 to 84, resident of Salt Lake County, hospitalized at time of death
  • Female, aged 65 to 84, resident of Weber County, hospitalized at time of death
  • Male, aged 65 to 84, resident of Salt Lake County, hospitalized at time of death
  • Female, aged 65 to 84, resident of Salt Lake County, hospitalized at time of death
  • Male, aged 45 to 64, resident of Salt Lake County, hospitalized at time of death

Vaccinations
18,383 additional vaccines were administered, for a total of 598,434. 200,651 of them received both doses.
