A fully vaccinated Catt Sadler has revealed that she contracted the Delta variant of COVID-19.

“I’m telling you this so that you understand that the pandemic is not over at all,” said the former E! The host, 46, warned her Instagram followers on Tuesday next to a photo of her lying in bed.

“Delta is relentless and very contagious and caught me even after being vaccinated,” she wrote.

Sadler, who turned off comments on her post, revealed that she contracted the fast-spreading variant while caring for an unvaccinated person who was ill with it – despite wearing a mask in their presence.

“I thought I would be fine. Well, I am not. I am one of the many revolutionary cases that we see more and more every day, ”she wrote. “Two days of fever now. The throbbing head. Extreme size. Even a little weird pus coming out of my eye. Severe fatigue; no energy to even get out of bed.

The entertainment reporter ended her post by warning people to keep their guards even if they are vaccinated.

“I am not a doctor, but I am here to remind you that the vaccine is not complete proof. ** Vaccines reduce the risk of hospitalization and death, but you can still catch this thing, ”she wrote. “So keep protecting yourself.”

Although contracting COVID-19 after being fully vaccinated is rare, it is possible and “expected,” according to the Centers for Disease Control, because vaccines are not 100% effective against the virus.
