Registration for the blue roof program in East Houma, Saturday

[ad_1]

The Army Corps of Engineers will be at the Collège du Grand Caillou in East Houma on Saturday to register residents for the Blue Roof program.

For the Blue Roof program:

  • Not all types of roofs will be eligible for the program. Roofs that are flat or made of metal or clay, slate or asbestos tiles are not eligible. All storm debris must also be removed for the roof to qualify.
  • Residents can register for the program at Blueroof.us. and request help using a Right of Entry (RE) form, which collects residence information.
  • The ROE is a legal document that allows Corps workers to access property and assess damage to the home. ROE also allows contracted teams to work on the roof.
  • Residents can call toll-free 1-888-ROOF-BLU (1-888-766-3258) for more information about the program.

The Civil Protection of the parish of Terrebonne says it will help those affected by Hurricane Ida from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 2161, chemin Grand Caillou.
