9/24 cup of coffee: Worcester was again the only game in action in the United States last night as they secured back-to-back wins over Rochester. The offense recorded eight points on 12 hits, led again by Triston Houses and his night of three RBIs. Cutter Crawford (on the picture) also racked up strikeouts, claiming his third victory since his promotion. The DSL teams parted ways on Thursday, with the Blues team claiming victory to drop out of a half-match from first place.

The Sox saw offensive contributions from everyone, as all nine starters hit base with eight of nine registering at least one hit. Triston Houses went 1 for 4 with a triple, a walk, a stolen base and three RBIs. Jack Lopez and Jarren Duran doubled, while Jonathan arauz, Taylor motter, Throw Downs, and Johan mieses each picked up two singles. Duran also stole a pair of bags, giving him 15 flights with Worcester this year.

Team Blue won their third straight game and are only half a game behind the DSL Rangers1 for the North Division title. Jedixson paez got off to a great start, allowing just one hit in three shutout innings, striking out three goalless strikes. Carlos VĂ©lez didn’t miss a beat in relief, tying Paez’s three scoreless hit on three and edging him by one in the strikeout category with four. Jhostynxon garcia led the way at the plate with a three-run homer in the sixth, his fourth round-trip of the year. Garcia added a single and was also hit with a pitch, scoring two runs that day.

Blue also beat Red in this game, but this time it was the Royals Blue team that prevailed. Team Red was limited to six hits, with Ahbram Liendo and Kelvin Diaz pick up triples. Diaz was also hit with a pitch and stole a base. Francis hernandez started and suffered loss, allowing three runs on five hits on 4 2/3, striking out four goes without a walk.
