About 183 passengers stayed on the Amtrak train in Oakridge since Sunday night

OAKRIDGE, Oregon – An Amtrak passenger train has been stranded in Oakridge on the railway since 6:18 pm Sunday night, according to KTVL.

According to Amtrak, "Amtrak Coast Starlight Train 11 struck a tree that had fallen on the railway at around 18:18".

About 183 passengers are on board and have been there since Sunday night.

"We have no idea how long we will be stuck, it could be days," Rebekah Dodson told KTVL.

"Due to the deteriorating conditions, the closure of roads in the area and the lack of viable means of transporting passengers or crews safely, the Amtrak Coast Starlight train 11 will Is arrested in Oakridge, Oregon, "Amtrak said in a statement.
