According to a report, the new Huawei phones can not use Google applications

Huawei would launch its new flagship phone, the 5G-capable Mate 30 Pro, next month, although Android and Google apps are unlikely to be used on the device. Huawei's temporary suspension of licensing ban in the US does not apply to Huawei's new products, a Google spokesman told Reuters on Wednesday, which means that licensed Google applications will probably not be used.

Huawei was blacklisted in the United States in May because of national security concerns, namely that Huawei had close ties with the Chinese government. Huawei has repeatedly denied this accusation.

But US companies will be able to sell equipment to Huawei, confirmed Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross in July, provided they obtain licenses that are safe for national security. The reprieve would have seen more than 130 license applications to sell US products to Huawei.

The phones will be announced on September 18, Reuters announced.

Last week, Vincent Pang, senior vice president of Huawei, said that the company had no plans to launch a phone with its Harmony operating system this year because he wants to stick to Android for the moment.

A Google spokesman said that Huawei could use Android because it is an open source operating system. Huawei and the Ministry of Commerce declined to comment.
