A mini-bus service will run between Rhodesfield and OR Tambo stations. This service will run from 5.45am to 7pm. A fixed fare of R21 per bus ride will apply to this service.

Gautrain spokesman Kesagee Nayager said the wickets at all stations would be closed and that pbadengers would be asked to use ATMs or charge money on the Gautrain website. She stated that pbadengers with affected monthly or weekly rail products would be reimbursed for lost trips.

Nayager warned that pbadengers could expect extended travel times for some of these trips.

between Bombela Operating Company and United Transportation Union (Untu). The workers went on strike without work or pay from Monday.

Bombela Operating Company offered an 8.5% increase in salaries and all benefits. The offer was rejected by members of the Untu, who claim an increase of 19.5%.

Nayager said that additional security measures will be put in place on the Gautrain system to ensure the safety of pbadengers. Pretoria News
