Cape Town motorists were urged to be very careful when they travel following Sunday's widespread floods.

Heavy rains wreaked havoc on roads as a result of stormwater blockages, said committee member Brett Herron. in a statement

The areas most affected by traffic include Kudu Avenue at Lotus River, Crescent Road at the corner of Claremont Avenue and the road Hand in Somerset West.

Louw Avenue in Grbady Park, Fernwood in Newlands and Carel Uys Road in Atlantis was also affected.

Floods have also been reported in Khayelitsha, Macbadar, Philippi, Gugulethu, Kraaifontein and Maitland, as well as in Parow, Goodwood, Ravensmead, Uitsig, Woodstock and Elsies River
