Herman Kotze says that CPS will comply with the order of the Constitutional Court to terminate its services in Sbada at the end of September.
DOSSIER: The Constitutional Court of Braamfontein. The general manager of Cash Paymaster Services (CPS), Herman Kotze, says that he does not know that the South African Social Security Agency (Sbada) has denounced the company to the police and to the Constitutional Court for trying to thwart the migration of grant recipients to the new payment system.
Social Development Minister Susan Shabangu and Minister of Cabinet and Minister of Communications Nomvula Mokonyane made these statements Thursday on an update on progress made in implementing decisions of the Constitutional Court.
Kotze says that CPS will comply with the order of the Constitutional Court to terminate its services in Sbada at the end of September.
"We plan to terminate our services on September 30. at this time, just to tell people that they should not take the accounts of the post office."
He says the company will take action if it is presented with hard evidence of wrongdoing by employees.
"If any of our employees is acting outside the mandate that they have and their job descriptions, we will certainly take immediate action against them … if we receive firm evidence."
