On Tuesday, July 17, the Duke and Duchess of Susbad will travel to the Queen Elizabeth Hall of Southbank Center in London to see the Nelson Mandela Centennial Exhibition.
Explore the life and historical experiences of Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela (1918 – 2013), the exhibition marks the centenary of his birth and provides insight into his inspiring journey. From a young freedom fighter to the inspiration of an international movement against the violent and oppressive system of apartheid in South Africa, the exhibition explores Mandela's life at through information panels and photos, archives and films about different periods of his life. Sello Hatang, CEO of the Nelson Mandela Foundation, said: "London was both the colonial metropolis of South Africa and the seat of the international struggle against apartheid. It was also the venue for some of Nelson Mandela's most inspiring speeches. May his life, his work and his ideas inspire the kind of global movement for change that humanity desperately needs.
