Proponents of beleaguered politician on social media seem to believe the story that Zuma was targeted by white economic forces due to the idea that those seeking to sue Zuma represent white interests is popular.

Even the poet and musician Ntsiki Mazwai, known for his controversial social media statements, seems to have embraced the pro-Zuma movement, and on Friday she tweeted her belief that South Africans worshiped the Zuma family precisely because apparent attempts by the media to turn the country against him.

The trial of Jacob Zuma's son, Duduzane, for allegedly negligent Phumzile Dube and Nanki Mashaba became politically indicted.
Zuma made a short appearance before the Randburg Court of First Instance Thursday before his trial was postponed for six weeks.
The Citizen reported on Thursday the members of Black First Land First (BLF) protested in court, calling for the arrest of FW de Klerk.
These supporters seem to argue that De Klerk's apartheid crimes should take precedence over the alleged negligence of Duduzane commuters. Friday's Daily Maverick called it "crazy" and an example of "anything that can be morally bankrupt."
Some on social media are in agreement, saying regardless of the alleged crimes of De Klerk, it should not be used to divert from Duduzane would have done.
But the story that Duduzane is unjustly targeted as a diversion of white corruption remains popular.
