Newly weds – Meghan and Harry – on the occasion of the launch of the Centennial Nelson Mandela Exhibition

JOHANNESBURG – The British appreciation of Nelson Mandela is not something ancestral and the public support of the royal newlyweds, Meghan and Harry, is a deserved tribute to the late statesman of the country's royals who represents the public support of the icon that can be dated before Democratic South Africa. The royal couple will attend the launch of centennial Nelson Mandela's exhibition that will exhibit works of art in the UK on Tuesday, July 17th. A curation of Nelson Mandela's life and times through six main themes: character, comrade, leader, prisoner, negotiator and statesman. Following the main exhibition, other badociated events will run parallel to the showcase. What is the "magic of Mandela?" In my childish interpretation, when a girl first saw the queen in my hometown of Port Elizabeth in 1995, walking in St George's Park, there were a crowd of people – young and old, black and whites who met to see the Queen in support of South Africa. The Great Nelson Free Exhibition Rolihlahla Mandela (1918- 2013), one of the most iconic figures of the twentieth century, will open at Southbank Center's Queen Elizabeth Hall on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 and will continue until Sunday, August 19. (The public preview will only begin at 5 pm on July 17, after which opening hours will be from 10 am to 11 pm daily.)

Kensington Palace Announced today that the Duke and Duchess of Susbad would attend the launch The President of Nelson Mandela's Centennial Exhibition, Lord Peter Hain, said:

"The exhibition of the Centenary of Mandela at Queen Elizabeth Hall, Southbank Center, free for visitors from July 17 to August 19, will present the fight for anti-apartheid freedom and Mandela's vision of a non-racial rainbow democracy based on justice, equality and human rights. (Monday, July 16), there will be a debate on Mandela's legacy that will explore Mandela's achievements and what his life has meant and continues to mean for future generations.

The debate will be chaired by Zeinab Badawi and BBC Panelists Thembi Tambo, daughter of the former ANC leader, the late Oliver Tambo, who was a close collaborator of Mandela, the South African minister Pallo Jordan and South African student Lebeko Matabane. Excellence Thembi Tambo has recently been accredited as South African High Commissioner to the United Kingdom

There will be an exclusive private view of the exhibition from 16:30 on Monday 16 for those who will attend the debate but will be free. Former South African President Nelson Mandela

Related events will include two award-winning films and the appearance of Ambbadador Zindzi Mandela, Nelson Mandela and the famous daughter of Winnie Madikizela-Mandela who attracted the attention of the world by refusing to accept the parole of the apartheid regime in 1985.

Life is wonderful: the unsung heroes of Mandela led by Sir Nick Stadlen tell the dramatic story of how Mandela and his co-defendants, a multiracial group of committed activists, changed the course of South African history. (Projections August 27, 28 and 29.)

Whispering Truth to Power (directed by Shameela Seedat and produced by François Verster) tells the captivating story of the former South African public protector , Thuli Madonsela. a courageous stand against corruption and "state capture" in South Africa. Matthew Hahn, author of Robben Island Shakespeare (Methuen 2017), will perform staged readings in "Robben Island Readings" inspired by the famous Robben Island Bible and Hahn interviews with survivors. Zindzi Mandela will appear with her two grandchildren, Ziwelene and Zama, to launch the charming book Grandad Mandela on August 16

A Humanity, Justice ] realized by Micky Madoda Dube and produced by Tony Hollingsworth tells how Mandela's seminal concerts at Wembley Stadium in 1988 and 1990 were broadcast to the world by speeding up the end of apartheid. (Projections of August 19.)

About Nelson Mandela: The Centenary Exhibition

The exhibition is presented jointly by the Museum of Apartheid in South Africa, the Archives the anti-apartheid movement in the United Kingdom and the Southbank Center.

He focuses on Mandela's life and times and celebrates the centenary of his birth. He traces Mandela's long march towards freedom through six main themes: character, comrade, leader, prisoner, negotiator, and statesman. This is the first time the exhibition will be shown in the UK, after successful pbades of various iterations in locations around the world, including six weeks at the Paris City Hall in 2013.

The British exhibition will also show original articles from the Archives of the Anti-Apartheid Movement that highlight the role played by the British anti-apartheid movement in hastening the end of the apartheid regime

The Story of the Extraordinary Life Mandela takes place through a series of dramatic video panels backed by films and the display of Among the objects of the exhibition include:

• the famous Robben Island Bible, the works of Shakespeare that have were smuggled into the island by Teresa, the wife of Sonny Venkatrathnam; imprisoned activists and contains original annotations made by Nelson Mandela and his contemporaries,
• one of the axes chosen by Mandela and his colleagues in the lime tree quarry of Robben Island, exhibited for the first time in the United Kingdom
• A letter of thanks from Mandela to the British public, presented for the first time. Written on 16 April 1990, the day Mandela attended the Wembley concert in his honor, he thanks the British public for their "overwhelming generosity".

The exhibition will be free and open to tens of thousands of visitors to Southbank Center during its run, to experience the visual presentation of Mandela's struggle, reflection and leadership life

Africa Utopia [19659009] The first weekend of the exhibition, (July 19-22) will coincide with Africa Utopia the Southbank Center Festival celebrates Africa and its rich contribution to contemporary culture, arts and literature. There will be guided tours of the Mandela exhibition for bracelet ticket holders Africa Utopia on Sunday 22 July.

School Trail

There is also an innovative track for the students of Nelson Mandela Fonds. Students, students and families will discover the historical context of apartheid and the ongoing struggle against racism and the violent oppression of Mandela through the interactive journey that will guide participants through the six stages of Mandela's life. In a request to participants to say in twenty-five words how they would make the world a better place. The competition will be judged by the various partner organizations
