The shooting of today. Near Northcliff Corner, one armed suspect died and two others were killed.
According to Clive Maher of SCP Security, three armed suspects tried to steal a house nearby, but were intercepted by SCP Security.
A prosecution followed and the suspects abandoned the vehicle. They tried to divert another vehicle to a nearby gas station. Maher said the young driver of the vehicle had been detained at gunpoint and had been forcefully abducted while he was trying to hijack the car.

Maher said the suspects opened fire on the armed guards. They fired back, leaving a suspect fatally wounded.
The second suspect escaped to the surrounding suburbs and the third escaped in a taxi to Melville.
Maher says that none of his guards were hurt.
The Sophiatown police say their officers are still on the scene and their comment will follow soon.
