The Durban magistrate's court was killed on Monday after the mother of a missing child lambasted the man accused of taking his baby boy.
"Where is my boy, tell me, where is my son?" Raylene Louw cried out of the public gallery.
His 10-year-old son, Miguel Louw, disappeared three weeks ago on July 17.
The court heard that the child was last seen with the accused.
The accused would have been a family acquaintance
Magistrate Mahomed Motala ruled that the accused could neither be named nor photographed, at the request of the investigator, who stated that this could jeopardize the investigation. A parade of identity has not yet taken place
The court heard that the Organized Crime Unit was investigating the case.
Louw managed to keep calm, but when the accused was brought to the dock, she became emotional.
"Tell me, where is my child, psychopath, sick thing, tell me where is my child?"
She was then asked to stop disrupting the court, a motion to which she adhered.
The Sydenham community, along with members of his family, searched for the boy and many posted on social media and took to the streets.
Speaking to News24, Miguel's father, Kirk Louw, was happy that the man was in detention.
"We feel good knowing that he's spending time in jail, it makes us feel a little better, maybe they'll make him talk, but our child is still there and it is unbearable. "
The accused should return to court on August 7.
