Zwelihle protesters attack and rob the police officer of the service gun

Protesters at Zwelihle, Hermanus stole a policeman from his service pistol while Western Cape Premier Helen Zille attempted to address the community on Friday.

The community members did not want to listen to Zille. Members of the Town Council of Cape Town were present

"It was during this period that the officer was stripped of his service pistol," News24 spokesperson told reporters. the police, Colonel Luthando Nosilela

Policeman Sicelo Gxamesi confirmed the incident.

"We do not want to talk to anyone until our leader has been released.If he is not released next week on Thursday, the closure will continue," Gxamesi said.

"People have lost their jobs because of the closure.There are small children and elderly people who are stuck in their homes and [who] are degbaded."

He added that live bullets were used to shoot protesters.
