Henry tried to get away from the heat and get under the hood of a car. Henry was seriously injured in the head after starting the vehicle.

Henry now needs a surgical procedure that will cost a lot more than what the Sauk County Humane Society can afford.

Despite his injuries, Henry purrs and eats well on his own as he waits for surgery at the Veterinary Emergency Department and the Middleton Veterinary Specialty Center.

According to the Sauk County Humane Society, Henry will soon have to undergo surgery to remove his right ear. Henry was almost beheaded and part of his skull was completely covered by the brain. Henry is also at risk of meningitis and accumulates fat and chemicals in his fur.

At present, there is only enough money to donate to cover about $ 500 of Henry's $ 2,500 surgery. The Sauk County Humane Society is asking for any possible help for Henry's recovery.
