Epic Games Store has entered into exclusive agreements to take a chance on Steam, the largest digital PC gaming showcase. The last partition of the company is Borderlands 3, and some fans are not happy. So, not happy, in fact, to have resorted to the criticism of the bombing of older games that had made fans first.
Borderlands, Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel have all suffered a series of negative reviews on Steam. Each of these assessments is considered "positive" or "very positive" for overall assessments, but "mixed" or "mostly negative" in hundreds or thousands of recent analyzes. Most negative reviews mention Epic Store explicitly. Tales from the Borderlands, developed by Telltale Games instead of Gearbox, was largely spared.
Borderlands 3 will be exclusive to Epic Store until April 2020, which will give it a six month period shorter than most one year exclusivity periods. The release date of September 13 had filtered before the official announcement and in this leak, a video also showed the logo of Epic Store, obviously without the logo of Steam.
As part of the series of announcements surrounding Borderlands 3, Gearbox also announced a remastered edition of the game of the year for the original game and a 4K texture pack for the other two. Borderlands 2 has also introduced its various DLC parts into Borderlands VR.
The latest in the Gearbox loot series seems similar to previous entries, going as far as to have a distribution of four different Vault fighters with different abilities.
