PENN HILLS, Pa. – An Amber alert was issued after the kidnapping of an infant at Penn Hills on Saturday, police said. A woman was charged Monday with the case while the search continues to find the girl. Police sources told Channel 11 that the girl's body was found Tuesday afternoon.

The alleged abduction
Police say Nalani Johnson is a black woman with a fair complexion who will be 2 years old in September. She has short, curly, black hair and brown eyes and was wearing a black shirt and floral skirt and black sandals. The police said that she called "Mooh".

Nalani was last seen at the intersection of Bryant and Clay in Penn Hills around 5 pm Saturday, according to the police.

Police said the girl had been abducted by Sharena Islam Nancy, 25.
Police said that Nancy was filmed in front of the Sheetz in Murrysville around 5:30 pm August 31, just 30 minutes after the alleged abduction.

Police said Nancy was driving a 2017 Toyota Yaris black with Pennsylvania license plates KLW-3926 and Lyft and Uber on the front passenger side window. The police said they found Nancy and the car involved and that she had been questioned by the police.

On Tuesday, Lyft issued the following statement:
"Although this incident did not occur on the Lyft platform, these allegations are extremely disturbing.The safety of our community is fundamental to Lyft and we have definitely banned that person from driving with Lyft."

An Uber official told Channel 11 that no one using the name of Sharena Nancy had used his app during the weekend.
County police, the main agency in the investigation, said the FBI was helping them. The agency said that shortly after the alleged abduction, Nancy went to Monroeville, where the car was seen near the intersection of Highway 48 and Highway 22 shortly after 5 pm

During their investigation, police announced that the black Toyota Yaris would have traveled to the Blairsville, New Alexandria and Delmont areas of Westmoreland County at 5:30 pm at 7:30 pm Beach time. Anyone who has seen anything is asked to call the Allegheny County Police.

Family members told Channel 11 that Nancy was driving Nalani, her father and a friend. When Nalani's father got out of the car and went to get the girl, Nancy would have taken off with the child.

"She was in a car seat at the back and he went to get her with her daughter, and at that moment, he had his hand on the door and she left," said grandfather from Nalani.
At a press conference Tuesday afternoon, authorities said that Nalani's father, also named Paul Johnson, and Nancy were at the beginning of a romantic relationship after posting on social media. They had a fight on Saturday afternoon.
The Allegheny County Police are asking people to be looking for a car seat in which Nalani could be ridden. Police said that by stopping the vehicle driven by Nancy, the car seat was not inside. The seat is described as an Evenflo Maestro Sport harness booster, mostly black, with a gray seat area.
Police said Nancy was not cooperating with their investigation. On Tuesday, the authorities said she had told two stories and the investigators were looking at the details.

CHARGED WOMAN
Allegheny County police arrested Sharena Islam Nancy, the driver of the Toyota Yaris, in connection with the kidnapping of Nalani Johnson.
Nancy faces several charges, including the abduction of a minor and the concealment of a child's location.
According to the criminal complaint, Nancy reportedly told investigators that the father of the child had sold the girl to someone for $ 10,000.

Nancy alleges that Johnson asked her to drive the little girl 20 minutes from a gas station in Monroeville on the 22nd.

Nancy claims that Johnson showed her a photo of a woman and told her that this woman would post her and that she would entrust him with the baby. She alleges to have done exactly what the father of the child wanted.

Nancy says that the woman's vehicle had out-of-state registration plates.
Police said that despite this information, the investigation had never revealed that a silver SUV was part of the case and that Nalani was still missing.
NALANI RESEARCH
Mike Holden of Channel 11 spoke Monday morning to Nalani's father and grandmother in front of the Allegheny County Police Headquarters, where they asked the public for help to find the little girl .

The family told Channel 11 that she was offering a $ 3,500 reward for any information that would allow Nalani's return safely.
A search was scheduled for Monday morning in Westmoreland County, with people gathered at Walmart Delmont.

On Monday evening, crews searched the Loyalhanna Creek near several boats looking for clues. Relief officials said they were unable to find clues.
The FBI and the Pennsylvania State Police raided Tuesday in the Blairsville area of Indiana County, using ATVs and other resources.
Sources said that Channel 11 Nalani's body was found during the search in Blairsville.
