Two trips around the Earth in just 15 minutes?

This incredibly fast journey is possible thanks to an accelerated video of the International Space Station published last week by the European Space Agency.

The stunning images, which allow the viewer to see some landforms (such as Italy), masses of swirling storm clouds and very bright urban centers illuminated by the darkness of space, include 21,375 images of the Earth captured by the ESA astronaut and the International Space Station. Commander Alexander Gerst.

The video travels from Tunisia through Beijing and Australia, showing the planet going from day to night twice, zooming well over deep blue oceans and clouds looking like paints.

The 15-minute clip was sped up to 12.5 times faster than the actual speed of the observatory, according to Geek.com.
