Astronaut Christina Koch shared a special message from Earth Day with a unique look at East Carolina from space.

Koch shared the picture Monday on his Facebook page overlooking the shoreline of East Carolina. She said it was her first glimpse of the North Carolina coast from space.

Koch is on his first mission to the International Space Station as a NASA astronaut.
