An extraterrestrial civilization sent a spacecraft to study the Earth and we confused it with an asteroid, astronomers from one of the world's largest universities suggested.
Two Harvard astronomers published an article in which they explain why the asteroid "Oumuamua", a cigar-shaped object that pbaded through the solar system last year, accelerated and changed direction as it went beyond the planet.

The two men suggested that it was perhaps a type of spacecraft called "veil of light", consisting of a large, very thin sheet that the light produced by the stars blew into space.
