Biker escapes serious injuries in car collision

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A car and motorcycle collided at a busy Lexington intersection on Friday night, Lexington Police said.

According to investigators, the biker escaped serious injuries. They say the driver of the car was not injured.

It happened just after 7:00 p.m. on Man O War Boulevard and Palumbo Drive, police said.

Both the motorcycle and the car were damaged.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.

No name has been disclosed.

Earlier, during rush hour in the late afternoon, the same intersection was temporarily closed following another personal injury collision, according to Traffic Management.

Tom also has radio and television networking background, having worked as a sports reporter for ESPN, Sportschannel, NBC Sports and the Breeders’ Cup. He was also the studio host and part-time producer of CBS Radio Sports College Football Game of the Week and covered the NFL for One-On-One Radio Sports. Prior to joining WTVQ-TV, Tom was vice president of the Houston Astros Minor League baseball team in Lexington. He was part of the original executive team that brought professional baseball back to the Bluegrass after an absence of nearly 50 years. Tom has lived in Lexington since 1984.
