Maybe the NFL will not have to wait another generation to see the next quarterback of the Manning family.
Cooper Manning's teenage son is already creating a craze for football, and his younger brothers, Peyton and Eli, two-time Super Bowl winners, both have young sons.
Gil Brandt, Hall of Fame Talent Evaluator, sees Manning's genes in Duke's Daniel Jones, who should be selected in the first round of the NFL draft in 2019.

Duke coach David Cutcliffe, considered one of the best quarterback mentors at all levels, coached Peyton's quarterbacks at the University of Tennessee. Eli visits Duke every season to train under Cutcliffe's eyes.
This actually creates a slippery slope: would Jones be a first round alone, with no connection to Cutcliffe? Some NFL quarters analyzing Jones worry about the fact that he has already reached his ceiling.
The former NFL General Manager, Charley Casserly, is mocked at the thought that the family ties of the Manning family would reinforce Jones. But the words of Brandt, cowboys vice president of staff from 1960 to 1988 and considered the godfather of modern scouting, illustrate how difficult it is to separate the two.
