CDC issues new vacation guidelines
The CDC has released new COVID guidelines for the upcoming holiday season.
NEW YORK – The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have unveiled their latest guidelines for safely celebrating the upcoming holiday season.
The agency suggests, among other considerations, that families host virtual vacation celebrations or have socially distanced celebrations outside with neighbors and friends.
The CDC also recommended the idea of using a window fan to keep the air at an indoor party as cool as possible.

“If you are celebrating indoors, bring in fresh air by opening windows and doors, if possible. You can use a window fan in one of the open windows to blow air out the window. This will bring in fresh air through the other open windows, “the CDC said.
Wearing masks indoors is always recommended for unvaccinated people, as well as wearing masks outdoors in crowded environments. People who have been fully vaccinated are recommended to wear masks in areas where transmission of COVID-19 is significant.

The CDC also encourages people to suspend vacation travel until they are fully immunized, but if unvaccinated people need to travel, including children who are not eligible for the vaccine, the CDC has suggestions. for safer trips, like taking short trips by car and taking flights with fewer stopovers or stopovers.
The guidelines say to avoid travel by train or long-distance bus. The CDC always recommends avoiding cruise ships or riverboats for families with unvaccinated children.
