Norma Kuhling expresses her "gratitude" Chicago Med family after announcing his departure from the NBC hospital drama at the end of his current fourth season. As reported on Friday, Kuhling – who joined the series as Dr. Ava Bekker in the season 2 finale – will leave Med with co-star Colin Donnell (aka Connor Rhodes).
"Thank you Chicago Med for two amazing years, "Kuhling told Instagram. "This family will really miss, but only feels gratitude. Many thanks to NBC and Dick Wolf for bringing me on board, the best actors and teams imaginable, and finally, the fans for making these shows what they are. We look forward to encouraging #OneChicago in its future seasons with you! "
Donnell, meanwhile, also consulted social media Friday night to confirm his release before a season 5 already ordered. "Sorry to say that's true," he lamented via Twitter. "I love my family a lot #ChicagoMed #OneChicago. And a special thank you to all the fans who have made these past four seasons so incredible. "
Chicago MedThe season finale is scheduled for May 22nd.
