Chris Hemsworth should embody the legend of the Hulk Hogan fight in a Netflix biopic that could make the Hulkamaniac wild.

The streaming service has earned the rights to life of Terry Gene Bollea, aka Hulk Hogan, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Todd Phillips, whose credits include "War Dogs" and "The Hangover", will be the director and John Pollono, along with Scott Silver, will co-write the screenplay. Silver is the author and director of the upcoming DC Comics movie "The Joker".

Hemsworth is best known for representing "Thor" in the Marvel film universe. He has two films debuting this summer: "Avengers: Endgame" on April 26 and "Men in Black: International" on June 14.

No production or release date for the Hulk Hogan project has been announced.

The film is expected to focus on Hogan's rise from the wrestling circuit in Florida to become the face of the World Wrestling Federation in the 1980s, where he will face the villain Andre the Giant. At its peak, Hogan covered magazine covers and featured a Saturday morning cartoon, according to THR. The term "Hulkamania" was coined in 1984, when Hogan referred to his legions of fans as "Hulkamaniacs" during interviews.
