Humboldt County Joint Information Center press release:

A total of 57,326 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Humboldt County at public health clinics and other licensed local vaccinators.

Local immunization data has been updated on the Humboldt County Data Dashboard. Some highlights include:

  • 22,365 residents of the county have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. This represents approximately 16.5% of the total county population and 19.9% ​​of the population aged 16 or older who are currently eligible for vaccination.
  • 27% of the county’s residents have received at least one dose of the vaccine, meaning more than one in four residents have some protection against the virus.
  • 59.6% of county residents aged 75 and over are fully immunized and 38.2% of those aged 65 to 74 are fully immunized.

As of today, the vaccination priority includes residents of Humboldt County aged 50 and over. Due to the limited supply of vaccines statewide and nationwide, not all members of eligible groups will be able to receive a vaccine in the coming weeks. Groups now eligible for vaccination include:

  • 50 years and over
  • 16 to 64 at higher risk
  • Food and agriculture
  • Emergency services
  • K-12 and preschool education, childcare
  • Higher Education
  • Phase 1A health care.

The updated state guidelines for live performances outside seated take effect today.
