Humboldt County Joint Information Center press release:

Nine months after the diagnosis of the first case of COVID-19 in Humboldt County, the total number of county residents who tested positive for the virus stands at 730, after 19 new cases were reported today .

Dr Teresa Frankovich, Humboldt County health official, said there was still time to slow the transmission of the virus, but it will take a community-wide effort. “If we don’t follow the safety guidelines that have been in place for months, especially as Thanksgiving approaches, we’ll see more illnesses among our friends and loved ones,” she said. “This is a time when we have to take responsibility for protecting and caring for each other.”
