CARACAS, July 23 (Xinhua) – The Vice President of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, informed today, the executive is preparing a new schedule to ensure the continuity of the vaccination plan against measles, diphtheria and malaria.

Leaving a council of sectoral vice presidents that is being held today at the headquarters of the executive vice president, Rodriguez pointed out that they are preparing a schedule of the immunization plan that will begin in the coming weeks .

"We have discussed the new plan that will be presented to the President (Nicolás Maduro) to ensure the continuity of the vaccination plan against measles, diphtheria and malaria.We will make a schedule so that in the coming weeks this plan epidemiological control in the country can be completed, "said the Vice-President.

Last month, Venezuela's health authorities, informed Maron, with the so-called National Malaria Control Plan, in one year, 8,674,558 inhabitants were protected.

Delcy Rodríguez recalled that last Saturday, Venezuelan President, Nicolás Maduro, approved a series of resources for the procurement of medical supplies.

Rodriguez pointed out that Maduro on Saturday approved 311 million euros for the purchase of medical supplies and expensive drugs for the treatment of chronic diseases.

The vice president asked the executive cabinet to "work tirelessly" to guarantee and improve the attention and protection of Venezuelans.
